Team M3 - Functional Exploration in Marine Model Organisms

The goal of the M3 team is to develop functional genomics tools and culture methods that enable control of the life cycle of the mainly marine metazoan models we study. The most important model is the photosymbiote - Symsagittifera roscoffensis, which lives in tight symbiosis with a green microalga, Tetraselmis convolutae. We are currently developing functional genomics, modelling and life cycle monitoring approaches and collaborating on molecular and physiological studies to better understand the biology of this fascinating and rapidly advancing model organism.
