2025–Present: Development of genetic transformation methods in brown algae
As part of the CNRS-funded BiodivFun project, which aims to establish reverse genetics tools in emerging model organisms, I am developing CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing approaches in the brown alga Dictyota dichotoma. I am also working on the delivery of foreign DNA using Golden Gate-based vectors in both D. dichotoma and the established model brown alga Ectocarpus sp. 7.
2023–2025: Metabarcoding analysis of kelp-associated microbiomes (BIOcean5D project)
I contributed to the European BIOcean5D project (31 partners across 11 countries), developing expertise in the sampling and analysis of kelp-associated microbiomes. I coordinated sampling campaigns across six European sites for two species, developed standardized protocols, generated and analyzed metabarcoding sequencing datasets, and contributed to the interpretation and dissemination of results.
2018–2021: Breeding, genetic resources, and biobanking of Saccharina latissima (GENIALG project)
I contributed to the European GENIALG project (19 academic and industrial partners across 6 countries), developing expertise in macroalgal genetics, phenotyping, and germplasm conservation. My work included population genotyping and genetic data analysis, the development of large-scale cultivation and phenotyping protocols, and the establishment and management of a kelp gametophyte collection supporting both breeding and conservation efforts.
