Gildas Le Corguillé (he/his) has held a permanent position as a bioanalyst/bioinformatics engineer at Sorbonne University since 2009, based at the Station Biologique de Roscoff (FR2424).

Within the ABiMS bioinformatics platform, he has contributed to various bioinformatics projects in collaboration with research teams at the Station and elsewhere, including those relating to annotation, phylogeny, transcriptomics (microarrays and RNA-Seq) and population genetics (RAD-Seq).

In 2020, he was nominated as the platform’s technical coordinator.

He began exploring the Galaxy framework in 2013. Initially, this was within the Workflow4Metabolomics (W4M) project, which aimed to integrate tools for metabolomics purposes within Galaxy. Alongside managing the ABiMS HPC server in Roscoff (3,700 cores, 27 TB of RAM, and 2 PB of storage), he co-leads the IFB Core Cluster, the national HPC infrastructure (8,440 cores, 84 TB of RAM, and 2 PB of storage).

In 2020, he became a member of the IFB Steering Committee.
From mid-2022 to mid-2023, he was interim director of UAR3601 IFB-Core.
