The R&D team of the Roscoff Culture Collection (RCC: https://roscoff-culture-collection.org/), which is one of the largest and most diverse public collections of marine microorganism cultures in the world, is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to undertake an exciting research program on microbiome interactions in ex situ laboratory culture in the context of the international projects MICROBE and BlueRemediomics. The underlying objective of the research program is to define synthetic microbiomes to promote the growth of selected microeukaryotes (microalgae, saprotrophs) and for optimal production of metabolites of interest (e.g. selected fatty acids, pigments, amino acids). The RCC, which is part of the FR2424 service unit at the Roscoff Marine Station (Sorbonne University/CNRS) in Brittany (France), is a component of the EMBRC-France and EMBRC-ERIC Research Infrastructures.
