Postdoc position on moon related biorhythms in brown algae

We are offering a 2-year junior postdoctoral position to look into the mechanisms underlying moonlight perception in the marine alga Dictyota dichotoma. As a postdoc, you will have the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research by elucidating how brown algae synchronize their biological rhythms with lunar cycles, utilizing cutting-edge techniques in molecular biology such as transcriptome analysis, CRISPR Cas9 genome editing, protein-protein interaction as well as protein structure analysis. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with interdisciplinary groups at the Roscoff Marine Station in France. This position offers a unique opportunity to advance knowledge in the chronobiology of an under investigated branch of the tree of life. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. with max 2 years of experience in a relevant field, with expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry and bioinformatics.
