She studied the role of a MARTX toxin in the virulence of a Vibrio splendidus population.

She used mutagenesis to delete different genes of this toxin (Master 1, 2020-2021). Subsequently, she was interested in characterizing bacteriophages of the Schizotequatrovirus genus, which have the particularity of having a broad host range (Master 2, 2021-2022). Finally, within the framework of the ANR DECICOMP project, she will try to understand how a series of host and environmental factors (temperature, age and oyster diet) control the expression of a multifactorial disease (involving a herpes-like virus and opportunistic pathogenic bacteria) in the hollow oyster Crassostrea gigas. To do so, she will establish, in bacteria of the genus Vibrio, mutants in genes or mobile genetic elements potentially involved in virulence in oysters, generate vibrio strains marked by a chromophore for experimental infection experiments by balneation in the presence of a herpes-like virus (Os-HV1) and develop new mutagenesis techniques if necessary for new species/strains of bacteria colonizing the oyster (2022-2024).
