POSITION

In charge of the management and analysis of evolutionary and environmental genomics data generated by the three research teams of the UMR7144 : DyDIV team (dynamics of marine diversity), ECOMAP team (ecology of marine plankton) and EDYCO team (eco-geochemistry and dynamics of coastal environments).

 

BACKGROUND

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2018-2020 Bioinformatics Engineer – École normale supérieure, Genomic facility, Paris

Main responsabilities and contributions :

  • Develop, apply and benchmark analytic tools and pipelines for long reads NGS data, including quality control.
  • Work closely with bench scientists to understand and help accomplish their research goals/support them in creating a project design adapted to their research goals.
  • Develop expertise in various types of sequencing data analysis (e.g RNA-seq, sequencing of long reads, singlecell).

 

2018 Research internship – Institut du Thorax, INSERM UMR 1087, Nantes

Population Genetics team, analysis of the genetic structure of a French population from whole genome sequencing data (WGS).

 

2017 Research internship – The Functionality and Protein Engineering Unit (UFIP), UMR CNRS 6286, Nantes

Conception of a biopython program to automate odorant-binding proteins search from whole proteome.
