Workshop "Algae-Microbe Interactions in Coastal Ecosystems"

The first edition of the AMICE workshop (Algae-Microbe Interactions in Coastal Ecosystems) is taking place at the SBR from May 31 to June 12. Co-organized by three teams of the SBR (BABIM, ABIE and IMMAR), MPI Bremen and the University of Bremen, it gathers 19 tutors and participants from 6 nationalities. The workshop covers a variety of concepts and techniques for the study of algae-associated microbes, from field sampling to microscopy, cultivation and culture-independent metagenomics techniques.
