Scientific interest

My research interests are focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms involved in the emergence of vibrio pathogenesis of marine invertebrates. These include molecular epidemiology with emphasis on biodiversity, virulence and genome plasticity, environmental genomics and host/pathogens interactions. My lab has shown strong technical competence in genomic and genetic developments over the last decade, whilst investigation several vibrio species isolated from osyters, shrimps and corals.
