Gin41

The objective of the Gin41 project is to decipher a major metabolic pathway in brown algae, involved in the remodeling of alginate, a cell wall polysaccharide widely used in the hydrocolloid industry. The project involves bioinformatic analyses of targeted genes from brown algae, their expression in heterologous systems (prokaryotes and eukaryotes) and their biochemical characterisation.
