Frédéric PARTENSKY

Senior scientist (CNRS Research director)
Marine microbiologist

I am a senior scientist specialized in the ecology, evolution and comparative physiology of marine picocyanobacteria. I am particularly interested in studying their light-harvesting complexes, and elucidating the molecular bases of their vast pigment diversity. My activity also involves the expert curation of databases dedicated to picocyanobacteria, notably Cyanorak, an information system based on clusters of orthologous genes.
