For publication of your results please cite the BMC Bioinformatics article "HECTAR: A Method to Predict Subcellular Targeting in Heterokonts" (Gschloessl et al., 2008; PubMed ID 18811941).

Please enter your email address and your protein sequences (FASTA format). To allow a correct determination of the subcellular localisation please insure that your sequence data fulfills the constraints (for details see How to use HECTAR section). The results will be send to you as soon as the analysis has finished.

+++NEW+++ HECTAR^METFUN (for all metazoa and fungi)+++NEW+++
The variant HECTAR^METFUN is dedicated to detect the presence of signal peptides, type II signal anchors and mitochondrial N-terminal target peptides for metazoan and fungal nuclear-encoded proteins. This variant was developed and presented in the PHD thesis of Bernhard Gschloessl.
