Adaptation and Diversity in the Marine Environment

The focus of our research is the marine environment and the way it shapes ecosystems, populations and organisms. Beyond the coastal biodiversity of the western Channel, we seek biological adaptations to environments such as the deep-sea hydrothermal vents or the oligotrophic pelagic ocean.

The 90 persons comprising our research unit are spread in 7 teams :
