BioMarKs integrates 8 EU research institutes and 30 EU experts in eukaryotic microbial taxonomy and evolution, marine biology and ecology, genomics and molecular biology, bioinformatics, as well as marine economy and policy, to assess the taxonomic depth, environmental significance, human health and economical implications of arguably the least explored biodiversity compartment in the biosphere: the unicellular eukaryotes or protists.

The "Proof-Of-Concept” meeting (POC meeting) will happen on 26th and 27th April.

This meeting will allow to get a first assessment of the work done from nearly one year, and will aim to initiate thinking and discussion on the inter-connection between genes and phenes in protistan measures of biodiversity.

2 PhD Scholarships in Marine Ecology, specialization Phytoplankton Ecology

The School of Natural Sciences is part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The research activities within this multidisciplinary school include the areas of Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Organic Chemistry, Marine Ecology, Mathematics, Microbiology, and Physics.
